Hi, Am here for an impromptu post :) Just had a class gathering with s15, and had a good mini heart to heart session with the people. Despite not having most of the 'usuals' there, I supposed (and hope) all enjoyed themselves as much as i do. 'Played the game' that was played during one of the YEC's work retreat. Inspired by the toilet-paper-know-about-yourself-game, we played the poker-know-more-about-oneself-game :D One will have to choose a number from a deck of poker card, and the number you choose determines the number of stuffs you have to say about yourself. It's definitely a game that will allow us to know each other better. Am so glad that I 'played' this game with them, it's really nice to know my fellow classmates better.
We were asked some personal questions, like what do you look for in a boyfriend/girlfriend, traffic-light status and blah. A question that really caused one to think in depth. Usually when 'the one' really comes, subconsciously that 'check-list' will be out. And yeaps, got to know some of their 'check-list', it's pretty interesting to hear what they look for in that ideal person and this actually really allow us to know them better and know them for who they really are.
ALSO, I actually found out that many of my peers would like their current/future boyfriend/girlfriend to be their future husband/wife. I'm not sure if you finds it shocking, but was quite surprised by their comment. At this age, marriage never come across my mind (UNLESS the one i joke about: Getting married at 11.11.2011, such a cool date yeah? Wanted to have this date on my marriage certificate, hence secretly(or maybe not that secretly), i want to get married on that day. HAHA). Oh yes, back to the topic. At 19, I cannot imagine myself getting engaged/married to someone in 5-8 years time? However, that's the ideal age for one to be married and blah. It's funny how me, being a very family oriented person, never thought of starting my own family. To be honest, I'm rather skeptical about such long-time-commitment aka marriage, and I really applaud my parents for sustaining such a l o n g term relationship (22 years and counting ;)). Am someone who thinks that there's really no such thing as forever and ever. It's probably because I have yet to have such experiences which caused me to feel this way. But I cannot deny the fact that I really admire lovey-dovey couples, such joy is something really heartwarming and I like it when both are happily in love. (Maybe I can work at some ROM place/marriage agency or something? Hahaha.)
Yes i know, this post is really random. But the HTHT session/gathering really got me thinking about this adult-ish situation, am actually at the age whereby we not only talk about the latest idol-craze and stuffs. Many of my friends and peers are more matured (not for some of my JC class guys), and the conversation usually varies from issues like marriage, politics, the community and so on; the really 'adult' kind of topic. Am secretly really interested in such stuffs :D It's something not the norm that we use to talk about, it allows one to feel more knowledgeable. Me likey. Hahaha.
Back to the more light-hearted stuffs. Had a good start to my December! Cousins gathering was good, and I'm really glad my cousins and brother enjoyed themselves. Work is going fine for Amantha, it's definitely a new environment. With a much younger group of colleagues, and it's definitely less 'work-like' as it is in the service line; the concern is more on how to make your customers happy rather than the office-ish issues. Also, did i mentioned I'm organising a senior citizen pageant? Anyway, am rather occupied with the admin stuffs for the pageant. It's hard to work with people of other district/area/YECs/places etc. Lesson learnt: A 'Black and White' must be given in order to 'prove' the credibility of a certain issue. It's all about "Black and White" in the real world.
Woohoo, a looooooooooooooong post. Awesome possum! Am enjoying my holiday as much as I can! Yes, I'm still trying to convince my dad to lend me his car. I SO need to start to drive on the 'real road'. Oh wait, needa buy my P plate first. Laughs. An impromptu post with an abrupt ending. Hehe. That's all for now! ADIOS :D♥
